On DotNet rocks there is a
show featuring Dryad, a parallel grid computation model using LINQ. It is rather interesting as you simply write LINQ queries which are distributed and computed in parallel (just like PLINQ) and the restult is assembled into a large dataset. Used primarly for large batch loads processing and not for real-time applications this gives a clue about the power of linq. More infos at the research
center.
