by far a good trainer

by Bogdan Nedelcu 11. March 2006 12:41

I attended a PMI training session for about 5 days. Although it was hard to disrupt my activities I managed to handle the common issues from the office remotely.

I am mostly interessed in techie things but because I have always to do more than architecture and development in my projects (I mean project management), the course seemed a good oportunity to set a base to my PM knowledge. The training session was a classic powerpoint presentation with interventions from the students where they did not have the same opinions with the trainer. It seemed boring at the begining, but the way mr. Sebastian Cazacu presented the slides and the way he was engaging us in the presentation made the presentation a succes.

The PMBOK was the main point of interest of this course. The scope of the course was to get a better understanding about the book. I think Sebastian succesfully managed to create me and my coleagues a clear view of the book. I recommend him as a trainer to anyone interested in the Project Management proffesion and not only. He works at TenStep romania, a PMI Registered Education Provider.

I hope I will have the time to prepare for the PMP exam. It's not exactly on my career path but I want to keep my options open.

Two words from the course: be proactive !
